Nature activity with J.P. Morgan
Published on 11.12.2024Looking back on 21 November, our forest ranger Pit Lacour carried out several activities in the Groussebësch in Niederanven at the request of J.P. Morgan with an interested group of employees. They started by installing wooden fences to protect against deer. Acorns were placed in these grids to germinate and allow new trees to grow here in the future. The forester carefully selected these areas, since they are areas in the forest with either no trees or mainly old trees. This means that trees of different ages will grow in these places, leading to continuity in the forest. At a second site on the edge of the forest, half of the participants were shown how to properly loosen the soil and plant small trees. At the same time, the other half built a fence to protect the plants here too.
In between the work, the forest ranger and his team explained various information about the forest and their work to the group from J.P. Morgan. This not only gave them a chance to lend hand, but also taught them a lot about the forest.
This interesting nature activity was concluded with some drinks.
