On Saturday 29 March, many volunteers gathered in front of the ‘Am Sand’ sports hall in Oberanven to pick up safety jackets, gloves and garbage pickers to make their beautiful community even cleaner. A number of residents from CIPA Niederanven were also there to take part in this worthwhile activity.
The commune's nature team had prepared various routes that needed to be cleared of rubbish. After the work was done, the hard-working helpers were rewarded with pea soup and spaghetti. All in all, everyone agreed that the residents of our green commune treat nature very respectfully, so that not too much waste was collected.
It is worth mentioning that the pupils of the ‘Am Sand’ primary school had already started a clean-up campaign around their school and the Maison-Relais the day before. Young people did the same at the youth centre and the scouts at their Bëschhaus.
