Tour on drinking water
Published on 15.10.2024On Saturday 12 October 2024, the nature team of the Commune of Niederanven organised a water tour to make residents aware of the importance of this rare ressource.
The tour first led to the springs in Hostert, which are part of the municipality's drinking water, where participants were able to test different waters, to the water tower in Senningerberg, where visitors were rewarded with a spectacular view once they had climbed the many stairs and ladders.
They then travelled to Uebersyren to the SIDEST wastewater treatment plant, where the new part of the plant, which is designed to separately collect wastewater from the airport site, was highlighted.
Finally, the Flusspartnerschaft Syr tested an application that can determine the purity level of the commune streams before the nature team served an anti-gaspi lunch.
In keeping with the theme of water, author Martine Konijnenberg read to the youngest participants from her book ‘Wasser kënnt dach aus dem Krunn oder net?'.
